WP-3. Identification of demands- power engineering of a consumer

Strategic focus/main objective: identification of consumers, their needs and possibilities of autonomous regions establishment

This Work Package will be focused on needs and problems of different energy consumers. It will consider the social awareness in the area of different forms of energy utilization. It will include analysis of consumers’ knowledge about energy market. Moreover, the social awareness on renewable energy sources application and their potential will be defined. WP3 will include analysis of importance of energy supplies safety. It will consider the economical and legal issues of energy consumption and the problem of cooperation with large suppliers of different forms of energy.  It is planned to consider the problem of energy autonomy. Foreseen analyses and studies will aim to indicate the possibilities of autonomous regions establishment. The problem of energy autonomy is complicated but also interesting and important. “Shining examples” from more developed countries show that it is worth to develop energy autonomy. One of the tasks foreseen in this Work Package will be focused on identification of potential areas for such autonomy development.

Core outputs:
  • guideline document including procedures for recognition of energy needs of various consumer groups;
  • handbook of good practices for energy consumption effectiveness increase and energy costs reduction;
  • handbook of good practices for energy supplies safety;
  • transnational strategy report including analysis of energy safety for end consumers organized in autonomous energy regions.
