On 6-7 March 2014 the ENERGYREGION project hosted an international conference entitled: “Home Energy Systems. Home microgeneration as a driver for energy transformation in Central Europe”. The conference took place in Wrocław, Poland, at Qubus Hotel.
The aim of the conference was to exchange experiences of small energy producers (prosuments), community managers and suppliers of micro-scale/home energy technologies from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Germany with an emphasis put on application of these technologies in households. Over 80 visitors attended the conference and gained a transnational insight into the situation of local microgenerating systems, available technologies, local barriers and support mechanisms of micro-generation installations and got to know the point of view of different players such as homeowners, small investors, technology suppliers and municipality companies from various countries.
The following thematic areas were covered at the conference:
- Microenergy systems as a determinant of community development
- Power microgeneration systems
- Heat & Micro CHP (µCHP) Systems
- Integrated Solutions, Managing & Control, Energy Efficiency
Actions involved in the ENERGYREGION project were also introduced. A pilot activity concerning a micro power generation system – a hybrid plant – was presented.
